Town council (Chokai), residents’ association (Jichikai), neighborhood association (Chonaikai) administrative liaison district (Gyosei Renraku-ku)
In each area there are residents’ organization called “Choikai”, “Jichikai”, “Chonaikai” and “Gyosei Renraku-ku”. Choikai”, “Jichikai”, “Chonaikai” and “Gyosei Renraku-ku” carry out various activities and events to create a comfortable community where people can live safely and in peace. Circulation boards (those that bind and turn communication documents from city halls, town halls, neighborhood associations etc., called Kairanban) to each household, summer festivals, and disaster prevention drills, etc. are also held.
People residing local communities are joining in those events and activities, deepening mutual support and understanding and will be able to live easily and safely.
Foreign residents are able to enroll “Choikai”, “Jichikai”, “Chonaikai” and “Gyosei Renraku-ku”. Please ask your neighbors about membership fees and activities, or consult with a Japanese language class, city hall or town hall.
