Neighborhood association (Tyokai, Tyonai-kai), Residents' association(Jichikai)

There are residents' organizations called neighborhood association and residents' association in the city or town.
They link residents of local community and administrative agencies. Their main activities are such as passing a circular notice from administrations called Kairanban, holding  summer festival and an emergency drill.
People residing local communities are joining in those events and activities, deepening mutual support and understanding and will be able to live easily and safely
Foreign residents are able@to enroll in those associations. Please ask your neighbor, Japanese class, or municipal staff.
