Neighborhood association, Residents' association
There are residents' organizations called neighborhood association and residents' association in the city or town.
They link residents of local community and administrative agencies. Their main activities are such as passing a circulation notice from administrations called Kairanban, holding a festival and an emergency drill. Operation expenses of the association are covered by members' fee of the residents.
Mutual support and understanding among residents, including children, the elderly and the disabled, is crucial for a comfortable life. Neighborhood associations provide local residents with opportunities for making better community.
